If you've got a minute, would you tell us what the
situation is like in Germany for American singers
these days? I've heard that the market has vanished
-- a combination of funding cuts, Easter Bloc singers
flooding Europe, and certain houses (i.e., Vienna)
turning away from house singers and doing more of a
"star" system.
Is it hopeless? Is it all exaggeration and Germany is
still a great place to pick up experience and build a
career?
