Subject:  making high notes easy, was: BAROQUE TENOR

Another trick of like ilk is to cover ones ears, and try to make the
internally communicating sound sound distant. Thus the sound is going out
and forward instead of rattling about in the head - if it sounds
momentarily big and boomy it's because the sound has fallen back. This
helps to develop a feel not only for high notes, but also for a free open
sound (which you can't actually hear while doing this!). john
