I was watching videos of various singers in the library today (trying to get
ideas for the competition on Friday), and saw one with Helen Trauber that
said she made her opera debut at 38. It also said she was a "concert singer"
previously, but no dates on that. So I figure if she can make her debut that
late, so can I!
