i would suggest legato in the voice is a slide. yes, it's fast but, it's
still a slide. it is to be distinguished from continuing to sing as you
search for a note in the same key the pianist/fellow chorus
members/accompanying ins. are playing in (not to mention while searching for
one's equilibrium).
