Help! My legs start trembling whenever I'm singing in front of an audience - or if I imagine I'd be singing there.
I will be singing in a concert next Thusday so I have to find some kind of solution as soon as possible. I'm going to sing "Voi che sapete" and Grieg's Jeg elsker dig (I love thee) and En svane ( A Swan). I have virtually no problems singing them and I love performing. I don't even suffer from stage-fright.
I'd love to wear trousers because of Cherubino's aria. (Surely the audience would appreciate the way I interprete the words "palpito e tremo". ) Still, if I can't control my legs, I have to wear a very long and loose skirt. However, I've been studying mainly travesti-arias lately (Prince Orlofsky, Sesto, Cherubino, Serse...). Hence, I should be able to perform them wearing trousers.
The worst part is that my concentration and support suffer because my legs have a life on their own!
Please comment!
