Frankly, I have trouble myself with remembering it when I have to write it down. While I'm doing it, I know what I'm doing, and where to go -- and I'm a good actress - but I would much prefer holding the score during the initial blocking, writing while moving and then running the scene w/o the score. I think it's just the way my brain works - I like to see the blocking in print in my own handwriting before I execute it. Unfortunately, most directors don't work that way.
Perhaps you should find a particularly supportive colleague and write down your markings with him/her. Seeing what they write might trigger your memory.
