Molly, I can only tell you about my University. There are two kinds
of scholarships: academic and performance-based. In general, the
voice faculty is not as concerned about grades and test scores (but
we do give them some consideration!) as about your audition.

There is, of course, also need-based financial aid. My recommendation
is this: DO NOT BORROW MONEY FOR GRAD SCHOOL! At best, go somewhere
they will pay you (assistantships, whatever). The second choice is
FREE (scholarships, fellowships, etc.) The third choice is to "pay as
you go" which is possible if you have some aid and tuition is low (or
free as at Curtis.)

I know that my performing career was hindered by the massive amount
of money that I borrowed to get my BM and MM. It's hard enough to
make it without having to pay $300+/month in student loans!
