Although I grew up in California, one of the sarcasm training grounds of the world (sorry LA), and enjoy Mike's sense of humor (he did make me laugh!), I think we all need to be a bit restrained when displaying our unique selves on the Internet. Via email, I am unable to see your smiling face,
the twinkle in your eye, your expressive hand movements (probably better off for that), etc., and I've found that everything written on the Internet comes off a bit harsher than planned. What one thinks is light and humorous, does not always come through that way in the electronic written word.
We should be practicing good manners on this list and be sensitive to the fine line between humor and hurt.

BTW Mike, you had some good thoughts. Thanks.
