Judy, was it the performer's first concert? Perhaps in practice she's much better, but was nervous. Give her time to improve.
Now, here is my question, somewhat in regard to the above.
>From what I've read, when you take voice lessons, you start off with classical/art songs. When, and how, does one move on to another genre? For instance, what if you're interested only in jazz, or country, or in the case of some of our younger listers, rock? If we are all started on classic--how do we evolve?
Also, those who sing Sondheim and other Broadway music, is the transition difficult? I enjoy singing Broadway, and wonder if I'm making the transition as I should. The same goes for those on the list who sing karoake?
