Subject: List of Greatest Voice Teachers

The subject of "excellent" voice teachers came up the other day when a
lister asked about Ted Puffer and Beverly Johnson, both of whom, in
subsequent posts, were described as renowned, well known teachers. This made
me curious as to what teachers are generally considered the creme de la
creme. Who are the most top-notch teachers out there? I know everyone will
say their teacher in whatever town they're in is a wonderful teacher, and
they probably are, but that's not what I'm fishing for here. If a list was
to be compiled of the 10 or 20 people considered to be the greatest current
voice teachers (those still alive), who would be on it? Where do they teach
(studios, cities, etc)? Who do they, or have they taught? Are their names
well known in classical music / opera circles and why?

I'll be very interested to hear the responses to this query.

Best,
Jessica
