Ok, so you want to move to NYC....

First of all Manhattan is the most expensive place to live...the closet
description is apt unless you have roomates. I love in Brooklyn...not Park
Slope, but Windsor Terrace. It's funny to here "New Yorkers" speak so badly
of their own home. If you look carefully you will find something affordable
to live in. If you want Temp agencies that are good for performers e-mail me
as well as tips for finding a place to live and what neighborhoods are
convenient to subways etc.

As in ANY big city you need to be careful where you choose to live for a
variety of reasons. My partner and I have a car and it has not even been
broken in to...Knock on wood. :-) Be aware though insurance rates are very
high and depending on the neighborhood parking can be relatively easy or
difficult and we have street cleaning rules which can be frustrating. Good
Luck and feel free to e-mail for some hunting tips. BTW I moved here 5 years
ago from Baltimore and I don't feel any less safe then I did in Maryland.
