Well at least your accompanist could play what music she had. I had been asked to sing in my cousins wedding last June and the guitarist/DJ was going to accompany me. Well the day of the wedding I showed up early to practice and he basically had me help HIM setup his stuff. He had told me that he had not been practicing my music, but that he would follow me and "wing-it". I should have decided right then and there to do the song a cappella but I kept thinking about how beautiful the song was with the accompaniment. I had also gone through this situation before, and had come through with flying colors. Well, it was horrible. He was horrible!! I felt horrible!!! I had to just make him quit playing. He was not following me a bit, so I skipped to the end of the song and walked over to him and had him stop. They say that there is always at least one thing that goes wrong on the wedding day, and so I am glad for my cousin that it was me and not any other part of the wedding or the reception. It ended up being a very sweet ceremony outside with butterflies flying by the happy couple as they declared their vows for each other.
