I'll add to the other replies that head voice can be connected to chest voice, meaning you don't hear a "break" when you go up a scale, as you can hear with falsetto. You'll find a lot of articles about head voice in vocalist's archives. I used Seth Rigg's "Singing for the stars" method to work on that, but it is not very easy to do alone unless you have some experience. Good luck !
