From what I've read a prime cause of nasal singing is tension in the throat. If the throat is relaxed and open, vowel sounds can resonate clearly, but if the throat is constricted and tense the sound will travel through the nasal bone and cartilage system ( an area of natural resonance, but one which should resonate freely with an open throat ) John
