The Downers Grove Choral Society, Robert I. Holst, music director, will
present its annual Chamber Choir Concert on Sunday, March 18, 2001.
The program features Brahms’ “Liebeslieder Waltzes”, conducted by Mr.
Holst and featuring Gwen Holst and the Society’s new accompanist, Belford
Hernandez, at the piano. Also included on the program are selections from
Holst’s “Six Choral Folksongs” and Elgar’s “Later Part Songs, conducted
by Dennis R. Smith.
This performance will take place at 3:00 pm at St. Luke’s Evangelical
Lutheran Church, 23W080 Butterfield Road, west of Park Avenue in Glen
Ellyn, Illinois. Free-will donations will be accepted. For more
