Subject:  Re: [vocalist-temporary] Music Software?

I just purchased it. It is a wonderful program. I have found that if I put
my music in Sibelius and analyze it, I learn it a lot faster. It helps a
great deal with the interpretation of it. The main reason I purchased it
was because I don't have a regular accompanist. I am able to transcribe my
songs and arias, save them as midi's, convert them to a type of file that
plays on my Yamaha disklavier. My disklavier is almost like having my own
pianist whenever I want to rehearse. I am able to learn my music, practice
and get it "into my voice" and save a lot of money on coaching and
rehearsing.

The other neat thing about it is that I can actually post my repertoire to
a website (not up yet) and those people that have speakers and the internet
can use the same midi to rehearse off the internet. You will be able to see
the music as it plays. There will be translations and possibly my
interpretation of the music I post. The midis and the music will not be
available for download, (copyright issues), but it will give me the
opportunity to share with the group some of the new music not seen too
often.
