My ENT said nothing about mucosa: he said something about the shape
of larynx, and said that it produces a very variable timbre (very
dark on the low, very bright on the high). Statement made without
having heard me singing, but confirmed by my experience.

How your timbre is, more variable or uniform along the extension?
