Thank you very much. I will definitely check it out. I can only state my experience which is that I used to skip meals and didn't eat a lot, but now I eat several times a day, but what I eat is different. Same with my hubby. There is a physician (Kidney specialist) on the eScribe newsgroup for Atkins and he has a lot more scientific information than I do. I can provide links to his very informative posts but only if I am asked. About caffeine: my understanding, and what my doctor told me here is that it causes insulin to be released and so it should be avoided (I'm still working on getting off of it.) About the glycerine: Atkins doesn't count it but it can affect blood sugar levels... I think you're right!!! I don't want to get too much into it and didn't mean to bash it out at all. I only know my personal experience, observation of others, and what I have read. Thanks for letting me express my opinions.

I am very interested in how getting to a "normal" weight and good fitness level would affect my young dramatic soprano voice. Will I still have all of the heft? How about the colour? Will my fach change? Seriously.
