Hey, Susan, I adore Marilyn Horne, too! I understand what Lloyd means when
he disqualifies her from contraltohood because of her bright timbre and top,
but IMHO, anyone with the seemingly limitless bottom she has needs a moniker
beyond soprano. Her stock and trade has been, of course, the florid, the
colorature, such as has not been associated with contratohood.
