Sudafed makes me QUITE dry -- you might try taking
just one (if you've got the little red pills), and
adding some humibid. I find some relief with nasal
steroids (nasacort is supposedly less drying than
flonase and those other -ase ones), but I have to take
them every other day or else they dry me out, too.
And I double up on the Humibid (guaifenesin or
spelling to that effect -- it's an expectorant, to
thin/clear mucous and keep things moist; you can buy
plain robitussen, but I get a perscription) when I'm
taking allergy medication.

Allegra gives some people immense relief -- I have a
friend who takes an allegra on her lesson days.

Before I gave up sugar (sigh...) I found hot water
with honey (with or without a squeeze of lemon) seemed
very soothing to me. I'd sip it by the bucketful.
