just to pick up on what john was saying...there ARE easier ways to make
money. the oppurtunities to sing professionally are too few to accomodate
everyone who should be singing professionally. also, being a professional
is not just being a good singer, you have to be able to manage that career as
well. i have had friends who were nothing special as singers, do better at
making a living at it than friends who were very good singers but had no
business sense.
malcolm forbes was once asked what is the secret to getting rich. he
answered "do what you love most. that way, if you don't get rich, at least,
you'll be happy."
