I just read in Dr. Diane's post that this was already established as a
guideline in Vocalist Netiquette. I agree then, if our guidelines say no
petitions, so be it.

I was glad to see the post regarding the Feinstein Foundation, which has
helped many people locally through grants. Would it be permissible to pass
on a post we feel strongly about once we've checked it out through Snopes or
elsewhere? Or would people rather we find our social action off the List? It
doesn't seem as though this has really been abused either here or on
Vocalist. I haven't been sent more than 3 or 4 since I joined the List, so
it really doesn't bother me.
Since we can, should we take a poll and abide by it?
