Isabelle-

If you don't put the whole piece on, you're probably OK. If the
pieces (including the arrangement/reduction) are in the public
domain, you are also OK.

The spirit of the copyright law is to protect the publishers',
composers', artists', etc. right to profit from their work and so the
law is designed to keep people from avoiding purchase by photocopying
music, dubbing tapes, etc.

I can post the "Musicians guide to copyright law" if anyone is
interested. (I did a presentation on "The Internet and Copyright"
some years ago, could you tell?)
