Hello Caio

Keep in mind that people who work on speech difficulties are as prone as
teachers of singing to devise techniques that can create new or additional
problems. Speech therapy is built around a short period of corrective
procedures because it is assumed that the patient is not interested nore
able to devote much time or money to the improvemts. In addition, the
improvements in speech matters are more corrections of speaking patterns
than they are a development of an artistic performing ability as is the
case with learning of singing.

I have had students with the same experiences you mentioned. It is much
easier to corrects these difficulties through singing lessons because the
student is more likely to practice and assumes a longer correction period.
