Subject:  Stiff as a Board

Hey, it's me again.
One of the things that has really come out with my new voice
teacher (and actually my dance teacher as well) is that I apparently look
very stiff while I'm singing. His main concern about this comes from my
upper chest not needing to move when necessary. But I don't know how to
"loosen" my upper body in that way. To my knowledge, I have never done
anything to >become< this way, so I'm very confused as to how to go about
changing it. Does anyone have any ideas how to best work at relieving
stored tension and stiffness in the upper body (specifically, the chest
and the shoulders)?
