Exactually. I studied privately with the intent to improve sightreading, so
scales and some basic excercises to build up strength
were key. We mainly sight read music. The key here is to go slow, which I
found hard to do. A basic understanding of harmony and the ability to
reconize tonic, sub/dominate, ect is key. My minor is harmony, so this was
ez.
