thing I have noticed that wasn't mentioned is the effect of stress. (Except
for smoking, none of the other contributors are in my near-vegan diet except
the occasional chocolate treat.) Stress seems to be a trigger so running,
meditation, and rest are my own personal "fixes" and I do notice a big
difference if, for whatever reason, any of them go missing for more than a
few days.

I didn't include an exhaustive list but stress can increase reflux and the
amount of acid produced. But don't discount the effect of smoking.

Some people get reflux with running, also.

Now, tell me how you can be a vegan, presumably for health reasons, and
smoke? You negate any benefit of your diet.
