Subject:  a call for peace

The way the polls on moderation worked out, the
majority of listers wanted a very, very light
"warning" moderation system. When bickering breaks
out and veers away from the realm of vocalism and into
the realm of personal attacks and counterattacks, the
list desires that the moderator give a warning to all
parties to cut it out. Those people who continue to
bicker after this will be put on "moderation" (I can
bounce their posts back to them instead of letting
them go to the list) until they shape up.

So... please, please stop arguing about a former list
member and the various defenses and attacks she
provoked. Explanations have been given, they have
been accepted or refuted by those who read them, and
it's time to leave it at that. No one needs to get
the last word in. I encourage those who wish to
battle it out further to send an email to
vocalist-backstage-subscribe@egroups.com and take it
vocalist-backstage-subscribe@egroups.com and take it
away on the Backstage list.

Hate moderation in any form and didn't vote via
egroups the first time? Support this "warning" system
and want to back it up with your voice? Go to
http://www.egroups.com/polls/vocalist-temporary to
vote. You might have to register with the web site to
get a password, if you haven't before (they don't sell
your information).

More ADMIN: I'm going to close some of the
longer-running polls that have trickled down.

Back to your regularly scheduled vocalism.
