This topic is kinda related. I send it because some of you female vocalisters may encounter a similar situation in the future :). After menopause I did no hormonal adjustments (pills of any sort), for medical/personal reasons. This is what happened. My range lowered about a fourth, over the course of about a year, while I retained the higher part of the range. Then, after approximately a year and a half more, the higher notes started to go. At this point, some days I have lost a fourth on the top of the range, but on other days, I have only lost about a major second or minor third. My new teacher, who seems very helpful, tells me to go ahead and keep vocalising up...maybe I can retain some of the pitches that are threatening to leave me! Ya never know!!
