I have had 7 major teachers over my lifetime. And,
speaking only for myself, I can definitely say that I
work MUCH better with men than with women. I don't
know why this is. I have worked with female teachers
who have excellent reputations, but I have always felt
more self-concious and tense with these female
teachers. The male teachers I have had (and there
have been three) have all been the most supportive and
the best proponents of the technique that works best
for me (which happens to be support, get out of the
way, and SING your heart out). The women teachers I
have had have all had very specific "things" that
needed to be done in order to "sing well". I am not
making generalizations, I am only quoting from my own
experience.

Just my 2 cents!

Lisa-Marie
