in the credits on his cd, he thanks the voice teacher he's had since he
was eight. he thanks her for teaching him how to belt. pretty healthy
sounding voice.

i started teaching two boys this year whose voices haven't changed yet
and made both of them get this cd. they both liked it and saw what was
possible at their age.

unlike most singers his age, billy gillman seems to sing about things he
knows about. in his credits, he only thanked his mom. it may be that
'oklahoma' has a real connection for him. hearing kids that sing about
'making whoopie' when you know they'd rather be playing with pokemon is just
to silly for me. in that light, gillman is refreshing in addition to being
someone to watch.
