If I knew that, do you think I wouldn't have told you? :-) Ok, it stands for Rational-Emotive Therapy. It's has some characteristics of behaviorism mixed with gestalt-therapy, but in a more original way. It's short, specific-problem based and extremely effective. Most psychiatrists like it, since it doesn't require much non-common sense pre-assumptions and is said to need an average of 8 sessions to get rid of most problems.
