Mike,
Since e-mail is a forum in which subtleties such as sarcasm, anger, and humor are not always obvious, perhaps it is best not to ride so "brazenly." Sometimes we need boundaries to keep us from losing our cool, and for making us think before we speak. For me, the fact that this is an archived list which many of my peers read is enough to make me think twice about anything that I say. The "censoring" is done myself. Perhaps for others, some small boundary might be a good thing. I used to be on the choralist group, but the amount of moderation there made me leave. There is a middle ground somewhere that I believe we can find. I would not wish for you to leave, for you make me think twice about my presuppositions, but I wish that we had something in place to keep hateful e-mail out of this forum.
Sincerely, David Grogan East Texas Baptist University Marshall, Texas
