You could try an unvoiced exercise, too. Place the tip
of the tongue against the hard palate immediately
behind the front teeth. While gently holding it there,
blow some air and try to do the propellor thing (it
will require a balance of relaxation with enough
tension to keep the tongue heading back to the hard
palate). Once you can do this, all you gotta do is add
sound and you have a rolled r.
