I use Dr. Diane's suggestions and also: "rario radio rario radio" repeated very
quickly using for the /a/ the sound of /a/ in fall! Good luck!
Does your student have a short or tight frenum (the little flap of membrane
under
the tongue)? This can sometimes prevent easy rolling of r.
