If you're being deprogrammed, don't expect too much too soon. Of what are you being deprogrammed? That is crucial information.

Not everyone will respond well to the same approach. If this doesn't happen for you with this teacher, do not feel bound by peer pressure to remain in the studio. Give it your best, then move on if needed.
