Hi Rocio,
I just tried this and I am feeling the buzzing all the way from my throat up
to the nose. What am I doing wrong? I also have the book "Singing for the
Stars" and I would like to do this correctly.
Thanks
Janis

If the "main buzz" is on your lip but you can feel it a little down your
throat and a little behind the tip of your nose it's OK. The lower notes
will feel a little lower down the throat and the upper notes travel up
"behind your nose" and back. In other words, if you feel the buzz rising "on
the surface of your face", whether it's behind your lips or nose, it's OK to
start with. Adding a slight cry as Mary Beth suggested helps, and just focus
on clearly allowing the buzz to travel up via your upper lip (it's a little
ticklish at times).

Once you're going up and down the scale in a connected manner, the lower (or
chest) notes feeling clearly in the lip region, you're doing it correctly.

Let me know if I'm still on track here, otherwise we'll try something else.

Rocio
