Well, I would call P&B flat-out opera, in the same way that Carlisle Floyd's
SUSANNAH and Previn's STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE are operas. Just because the
characters speak with a specific dialect doesn't necessarily mean it's not
opera ... JMO
