i don't think so. they are made the same way. i think there are people who make a big production out of singing and then there are people who just go ahead and sing. the latter think of it as an action (which it is), the former think of it as an elaborate plot (which it's not- hey! that rhymes!).
it is fairly simple to sing easy-medium material fairly well. of course there might be misconceptions that might cause a problem later (thinking pitch is a matter of height, singing louder to sing higher and so forth) but, from singing fairly well, it is a lot easier to get to higher levels of accomplishment than it is to get there from over complicating simple singing.
talent is just a head start.
