Not songs persey, but what about Handel's Alcina? She was quite the
enchantress and turned men into wild animals. From the same opera, the
soprano (pants role) role of Oberto sings an aria calling the sorceress
Alcina a barbarian b/c she has changed his father into an animal. Quite a
character.
