In spite of the rather mediocre musical diet at the Sydney Olympics
I'm pleased to report that about six months ago while waiting
on Sydney's Town Hall Station mid morning, we were all pleasantly
startled to hear over the PA system,the Elgar Variations right from
the beginning It was a little spoiled by trains arriving though.
Unfortunately there must have been a shift change just as it got
to the teary bit but at least the change saved the odd depressive
from getting too involved. Although to be honest, the noise that
replaced the Variations did seem to move a larger number of
people over the yellow line towards the edge. Reg.
