Are you refering to Douglas Stanley who wrote The Science of Voice? I
have this book, though by the looks of it I don't think I've ever read
it. The original copyright is 1929. I love to read about singing and
every time I see a book I don't have, I buy it. Unfortunately, I don't
have the time to study them all. Every now and then I have to break down
and read a novel just to give my brain a rest. I'm currently readin g
Opera for Dummies--it's cute and my homeschooled 15 year old daughter
should enjoy it as a preamble to our Season Tickets to the Baltimore
Opera. Iknow my educational priorities where my daughter is concerned
Shakespeare and Opera--who needs Algebra, anyway. Anne
