It's interesting - Alanis Morissette sang technically better when she was a
Canadian pop singer - more supported, perhaps too much chest (I'm basing this
on one "VH1 Behind the Scenes" special) but was nothing more than a Britney
predecessor. I use her CD "Jagged Little Pill" to illustrate bad releases
(she always grunts on the release) BUT the fact that I own and listen to JLP
means that I really really like her ... again, as I said before, she speaks
to me in some way, so I really don't care what her technique is ... I just
hope it's good enough to keep her working!
