You will need:

#2: a hair net and bobby pins to begin to get the hair up into a smaller
space and away from your face

#2: a snug wig cap. I prefer the kind that's made of a kind of
elasticised netting, rather than the kind that looks like it's a truncated
stocking. YOu need to make sure it's big enough to cover all your hair,
but tight enough to stay on when you've "stuffed it".

Get all your hair as much under control as you can stuffed flat within the
nair net, using bobby pins (small and large) judiciously to keep wisps off
your face (unless a few wisps of your own hair would blend with the wig
colour). If necessary, you can first put the hair into a pony tail, but I
find it's better if you manage to sort of gather it up and fold it under,
then sort of shove it into the hair net.

Carefully stretch the wig cap and put it over the hair net, so it fits
snugly and doesn't feel like it will pop off. Shake your head around to
ensure that it's really ON.

Carefully (very) put the wig on over the wig cap, adjusting it to hide any
edges. Use a few large bobby pins (concealed by wig hair) to actually
clasp the wig at the temples and behind the ears to the wig cap.

You're actually lucky that your hair is straight and fine, because once
it's compressed by the hair net and wig cap, the wig should go on fairly
easily.
