meribeth bunch's book (sorry, i can't remember the title), is very useful for 'this is the meat and here are the theories of how it works'. it, to me, seems to be devoid of personal agenda. gillyanne kayes worked with bunch (i think that's what she said) and jo estill and has a book 'singing and the actor'. it is good in that it demonstrates different approaches to singing and what you can notice working physically as a result. so, it might be a good companion to bunch's book. and though ms. kayes is putting forth an approach, it is one that allows for a number of possible ways to use the voice and not just one.
