Subject:  Chorus as a stepping stone (or a rock to stand on)

In Italy: Leo Nucci was a chorister prior to "jumping over the broom"
into the land of soloist performer.

On the other hand:

Cecilia Bartoli's parents were soloists that op'd for "il coro" for the sake
of their marriage & familial commitments. Blessings on their heads!!
