More on the vibrato-less student! But first, thank you all for the
suggestions.
I've had another lesson with my student, and I can actually hear her open
the nasal port mid-note, so I personally feel resonance (or lack of it) has
been part of the problem.
The vibrato has also started happening regularly at the end of notes, which
seems to indicate some tongue or jaw tension, since the vibrato starts
happening when she begins to end the tone, or relax.
I welcome your continued discussion and opinions. I'll keep you posted on
our progress.
