I'm not so sure! I know it has something to do with self-hypnosis, or better, with visualization techniques, but I think it's more than that. I also think , though I'm not sure either, that MT does not lead to the control of functions normally taken as solely involuntary as Silva Mind Control at least aims at. It think it focuses mostly on relaxation, while SMC tries to do what people in the biofeedback area do, but without any equipment. They seem to overlap in certain areas, anyway.
