tako,

before i got rid of my boston accent, i spoke in a nasty chest voice.
what i do now feels more like a mix, even though the average speaking pitch
of my voice has dropped. unfortunately, the change was gradual and i didn't
keep very good track of what i was doing. but, the biggest change (aside
from getting the r's straight) was in the vowel pronounciation. i can't say
for sure if there was a change in the way i was using my vocal folds or, if
it was all resonance adjustment.

the boston 'ah' poem

i always drop my 'ah's, they always disappeah
and wheah they end up, i have no idear
