before i got rid of my boston accent, i spoke in a nasty chest voice. what i do now feels more like a mix, even though the average speaking pitch of my voice has dropped. unfortunately, the change was gradual and i didn't keep very good track of what i was doing. but, the biggest change (aside from getting the r's straight) was in the vowel pronounciation. i can't say for sure if there was a change in the way i was using my vocal folds or, if it was all resonance adjustment.
