I agree with Chris. Vocalizing is always
a great way to start with a new student.
Then, the song. The Sound of Music
is a good choice because there are
relatively easy pieces like Edelweiss and
My favorite things.
It also would depend on whether or not
the student who comes for this 10 min.
session is brand new to vocal instruction
or has already worked with someone.
Good luck.
